yes. college. Seems like just yesterday Sam I am offered us green eggs and ham. I'm at the University of Utah, and i'm a computer science major (unofficially). Because i did IB and I passed (another big item of news which escaped my mention for the past few months), almost all my general education requirements are waived and i can go on straight to my 'major' work. I'm still finding myself, though, so i may change stuff around later on.
Right now my class load is very light. 5 classes total, 2 of which are kind of a joke. Ski conditioning... hey, i need the credits and maybe it will be better to start the next season with at least a semblance of physical fitness.
So far the best thing about college is the pathetic workload. The worst has to be the fact that i still live at home. Maybe if i was to sell the impreza and get an apartment... nah, i'll wait until i have a steady-ish job at the very least. But seriously, parking is a pain in the ass, my gas mileage is balls, and i'm getting really sick of the commute.
In other news, computers hate me. My vista laptop had the lovely idea to kill itself, so i said screw it, and installed Ubuntu. It's awesome so far. I'm installing photoshop on it right now, hopefully it will work. The downside is that i lost all my files, thankfully none of them were too important...
onto art news, i'm still working on the 'russian shirts' thing i had going, hoping to do some soviet propaganda-style stuff soon. I tried to take a digital photography course, but it was full, so my photos are gonna remain crappy for the time being. I was briefly enrolled in a basic drawing course, which i dropped as i didn't feel like dishing out $100 for supplies to learn something i think i already know.
Expect some big pieces coming soon, if i have the patience to finish them. I made the awesome decision to impulsively buy an issue of Advanced Photoshop from costco the other day, which came with some awesome brushes and stock images/textures, which i plan to put to good use soon.
So i'll leave you guys with this news while i go back to writing up some questions for an interview i'm supposed to give tomorrow.

Don't let your mind wander. It's too small to be out on its own.
